But "low maintenance" doesn't mean "no maintenance." Here's your complete guide to keeping your synthetic turf looking and performing its best.

Weekly Maintenance (5 Minutes)

Remove Debris

Dubai's climate means sand, dust, and the occasional leaf find their way onto your turf. A quick sweep with a stiff broom or leaf blower once a week keeps the surface clean and prevents debris from embedding in the infill.

• Use a stiff-bristle broom (not a metal rake — it can damage fibres)
• Brush against the grain to keep blades standing upright
• A leaf blower is the fastest option for large areas

Quick Rinse

Give your turf a light rinse with a garden hose once a week. This removes dust, keeps the surface cool, and prevents any buildup. In dusty areas near construction sites, you may want to rinse every 2-3 days.

Monthly Maintenance (15 Minutes)

Cross-Brush the Fibres

High-traffic areas — pathways, play zones, seating areas — may develop flattened patches over time. Use a stiff brush or power broom to cross-brush these areas monthly, lifting the fibres back upright.

Check Infill Levels

• A thorough deep clean with a mild detergent
• Checking seam integrity and edge anchoring
• Topping up infill levels depleted by summer rains
• Power brushing to restore pile after summer flattening

What NOT to Do

1. Don't use a metal rake — it tears fibres and damages the turf
2. Don't use bleach or harsh chemicals — they discolour and weaken the fibres
3. Don't place heavy furniture without pads — use furniture coasters to distribute weight
4. Don't ignore drainage issues — standing water means a blockage needs attention
5. Don't allow weeds at edges — spray a pet-safe weed killer along perimeter edges annually
